• Name: 2004 - graphite on paper, concrete laser, beer bottles, battery, wood, motors, mirrors and misc. electronics - variable dimensions. A block of concete with bottles embeded in it sits on the floor at a distance of up to 75 feet from a drawing of a tree hung on the wall. The block is fashioned using an alternative building method that allows for light to be cheaply brought into a room via empty bottles. Inside one of the bottles, a green laser shines out and crosses the space between the block and the drawing. The laser enters a hole in the drawing and is split into many beams behind the drawing. The beams are then directed back out through the drawing via small mirrors and holes appearing as small green lights around the tree. If a viewer walks between the drawing and the block, the beam is interrupted and the lights in the tree go out.
