  • 2002-2003, Dura-Trans transparency, wood, laser, motor, various electronic parts. This is a series of 4 pieces all of which look similar, however the image in each is slightly different. In the front of each piece is an image of a painted landscape. the landscape has been painted in a style reminiscent of the Hudson River School. Four paintings were made and photographed. Where the sun is located, a laser illuminates the image from behind. The laser is on a mechanism so that it moves backwards and forwards causing the sun to pulse. A system of counter weights along with small rockers causes the entire sculpture to rock in time with the laser. These sculptures have been shown in pairs and alone.
